Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Yarrow website, applications and services (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract. You may sign in with an email address or with Google. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Give us accurate information and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. Use of the Services

You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services, or bypass access controls or rate limits;
• interfere with or disrupt the Services, or send malware or spam;
• scrape, copy or resell the Services or their outputs at scale without our written permission;
• use the Services to build a competing product.

3. Not financial or professional advice

Yarrow produces probabilistic forecasts and analysis. They are informational only, may be wrong, and are not investment, financial, legal or other professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make using the Services. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it solely to operate and improve the Services for you. You confirm you have the rights to submit it.

5. Our intellectual property

The Services, including software, models, design and the Yarrow name and logo, are owned by Yarrow and its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Services in line with these Terms. All other rights are reserved.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including data received through Google Sign-In.

7. Third-party services

The Services may link to or depend on third-party services (such as Google). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices; your use of them is subject to their own terms.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services or close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if needed to protect the Services or others. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yarrow will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify Yarrow against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the Services or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Changes

We may modify the Services or these Terms. We will post updated Terms here with a new effective date; continued use after that date means you accept them.

13. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Yarrow about the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent.
